This was our fourth trip to Kanha National Park, Madhya Pradesh on the Kisli side. The first one was back in 2007 when the whole family took to exploring wildlife.(Click here to read about that experience)  and experienced the Royal Bengal Tiger. Since then we have gone back both to the Mukki and Kisli ranges.

This trip was equally exciting - we got our rooms at the Bagheera Log huts, of the MPTDC, which is inside the park. The cold was biting and even holding the camera was becoming a challenge. As we entered the gate in the evening trip, our guide stopped the vehicle to track a warning call...lo and behold from the left of the vehicle walked a majestic Royal Bengal Tiger...and it came 2-3 feet distance from our jeep. The kids in the jeep were already nervous and our vehicle didnot start...the might beast did not bother about anything and after spending couple of minutes moved on. The rest of the trip went of in exploring the park seeing other animals like deer, sambhar, barasingha, bison and lot of birds.
